Videre Decor realizes that working with a designer or decorator may be an unfamiliar experience. For your guidance, below are answers to common questions.
When is the best time to bring in an interior designer? The earlier the better. If you are building or renovating a home, we suggest that furnishings are ordered at the same time that construction begins. This allows ample time for custom furniture and drapery to be manufactured and shipped to a local warehouse so that it is ready for delivery when your home is ready.
How long does the design process take? Design time varies for every project and can range from a few hours to a few months depending on the time you require to make decisions. Typically, projects take longer when additional options are requested after design recommendations have been made. Because decoration is dependent on the layering of individual elements, elimination or changing of one item often results in a complete re-design of the project. For this reason, commitment to a design direction and building on each decision is critical for projects to stay on track.
How much is my project going to cost? Every project begins with a discussion of your ideal budget and Videre Decor will help you to adjust your expectations accordingly. In our experience, fully furnishing each room of your home requires a minimum budget of $25,000.
How does Videre Decor charge for services? New projects begin with a minimum service charge of $500 with each additional hour billed at $125. Travel expenses may also be billed to clients depending on required in-person meetings and site visits. Fees are due at time of service. For clients wishing to purchase furnishings through Videre Decor, fees already paid will be deducted from your merchandise invoice up to 10% of the merchandise totals if ordered within 30 days.
Are services provided online? Yes, with use of technology and packages of physical samples sent to you when needed, all services can be provided online or in-person. We work with clients from around the world and can work on projects in any location.
Do you accept credit cards? Yes, all major credit cards are accepted in addition to Pay Pal.
Where do you buy your furnishings? Furnishings for your project are sourced using various fabric mills, work rooms, furniture manufacturers, craftsman and antiques dealers specific for your project. Utilizing industry events such as High Point Market in North Carolina and to-the-trade Design Centers and Showrooms, Videre Decor continues to develop vendor relationships to better provide for our Clients.
